INTERCONNECTION ... ONE SPIRIT
We can find in the scriptures
of the different spiritualities and Sacred Traditions of the world,
a store-house of things pertaining to our relatedness, to our unity
as members of a large, global family. Rolph's presentation will highlight
our connectedness, our being linked inseparably to one another in spite
of our cultural and religious beliefs. We are all rooted together in
the ground of consciousness that is God's gift to us all. We are brought
to life through the One Spirit that is unfathomable loving energy. In
this field beyond image, our joining is absolute. There is nothing we
can do to change it. Rolph is a native of Trinidad, and was a
former friar of the First Order of St Francis for forty-three years,
where his main ministry was Inter-Faith Dialogue.
Tuesday, April 6th.

SPIRIT ALIVE IN
CHILDREN
Children come into the world
as complete spiritual beings, needing to be acknowledged and nurtured
as such. Kids need to feel connected to themselves, their families,
and their surrounding world. Anna is an elementary school teacher, yoga
instructor, and mother of two. Through stories, dialogue and reflections,
she will share her insights as an educator about ways to nurture the
spiritual nature of children.

ORDINARY LIFE AND
BUDDHISM
While
learning and practising Buddhism over the past forty years with some
twenty teachers, mainly in the Tibetan tradition, but also with teachers
from China and Sri Lanka, Louis Cormier has
mainly been
concerned with how to integrate the practice and teachings of Buddha
Dharma
into ordinary, everyday life. Louis completed a Master's Degree at UQAM
in Religious Studies in 2001, his mémoire being a profile of the Tibetan
Community in Montreal.
Married, and with two daughters, Louis
shares with us his journey into Buddhism and how, as a lay practitioner
of
Tibetan Buddhism, he has found ways to apply this ancient tradition in
the
contexts of work and family life.

situation of severe political interference and economic catastrophe.

through telling the story of Zimbabwe's blood diamonds, and the second
shows the challenge to that culture through a school that values the
weak and powerless, and is working towards reconciliation.

of 'resistance' to health. Scott will also discuss 'stress' as
the enemy of health: he will demystify stress, introduce its source,

ECONOMICS FOR THE
SOUL
The idea of economics as soul
work will undoubtedly sound strange to anyone trained in the mainstream
academic discipline. Nevertheless, many of the most serious challenges
facing humanity today can be traced back to various abstract economic
ideas that have bled into our conventional wisdom. This workshop will
explore some of the dimensions of the problem and propose potential
remedial pathways to building an economy that works for people as whole
human beings. Peter was the finance critic on Green Party's shadow
cabinet and is a lecturer at the Concordia School of Community &
Public Affairs.
Tuesday, May 11th.

and equipped that it is totally self-sufficient. It contains a complete
pharmacy of its own, and the finest healing technology within. Dr. Bali

body's own self-referral feedback system can help reverse the damage
